I came into law as a mature student having had a successful career as a Client Manager/Account Manager, Client Director for large corporate organisations like Axa, Yell and Mars (as in the chocolate not the planet).
I returned to university and graduated LLB (Hons) after which I decided to sit the Bar aptitude test which I passed. The following year I attended ULaw in Chester to undertake my LPC and my Masters’ degree in Legal Practice for which I received an overall commendation.
My dissertation was on Jacksons reform and the current unequal access to justice and the costs that are incurred by the losing party which can be astronomical.
I undertook some pro bono work, experiencing both Liverpool and Chester County Court in the Personal Support Unit and also helped on the Domestic Violence Scheme for women.
I was a Student Ambassador for ULaw whilst I was there.
I am passionate about criminal law and want to make a difference to those who need it most.
