David Targett

David qualified as a Solicitor in 1998 and became a member of the Law Society’s Criminal Litigation Scheme in 1999. He was appointed Head of Crime at Fisher Meredith Solicitors in 2005, and joined Tuckers Solicitors in 2008.

David now leads one of Tuckers Solicitors Crown Court teams and specialises in regulatory law.  He defends individuals and companies facing investigation or prosecution as a result of their trading.

David also acts as an agent for the Health & Safety Executives, representing their interests at inquests and prosecuting for them following accidents at work.

  • Oxfordshire County Council v W: Represented W who was being prosecuted for the sale of counterfeit goods in breach of The Trade Marks Act 1994
  • LB Camden v M: Represented M who was being prosecuted for breaches of The Consumer Protection From Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
  • Health & Safety Executive v British Telecom: Assisted with the prosecution of BT following a fatal accident and resulting in their conviction under The Health And Safety At Work Act 1974
  • Hertfordshire County Council v M Ltd & T: Consulted by M Ltd and T over their prosecution for breaches of The Consumer Protection From Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
  • LB Enfield V CWPE Ltd: Defended charges laid against CWPE Ltd under The Fraud Act 2006 and The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008
  • Inquest into the death of BR: Represented the Health & Safety Executive an interested party at the Coroner’s Inquest into the death of BR following an accident at work
