James Cohen is a lawyer at GSC Solicitors LLP. He attended Birmingham University (BSc 2005) before completing the College of Law Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course both with distinction. He qualified as a solicitor in October 2009 and joined GSC at this time to specialise in wills, probate and tax planning.
James Cohen is also able to advise clients on tax investigations dealing with managing investigations and enquiries opened by HM Revenue & Customs – in particular, Code of Practice 8, avoidance Code of Practice 9, voluntary disclosures to HMRC, using the Liechtenstein Disclosure Facility, and advice regarding the UK/Switzerland Tax Agreement.
He has furthered his expertise and knowledge in this area by completing the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP) diploma and is now a qualified Trust and Estates Practitioner.
