Jim Meyer acts in City lawyer fraud case

February 13, 2013

Jim Meyer recently acted for Nathan Iyer in presenting his case in response to the discovery of a £2.8 million fraud involving money from clients of city law firm, Ince and Co.  Mr Iyer’s case was described by the judge in terms of “a dismal end to a fine career” as he used client money to fund his lifestyle and to seek further advancement through the honours system.  Mr Iyer acknowledged that the motivation for the fraud was his own greed, and has sought to make amends through repayment of over £2 million.  More details of the reported aspects of this case can be found at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/9857699/Celebrity-lawyer-stole-2.8million-as-he-tried-to-get-an-OBE.html
