Sean Reilly

Sean, who is based at our Manchester office, is a Trainee Solicitor diligently working towards his qualification. His journey into the legal field began at the University of Law Chester, where he developed a deep interest in criminal law. In 2021, he completed his Graduate Diploma in Law and furthered his legal education by completing the Legal Practice Course in 2022. The same year, Sean earned his Police Station Accreditation.

Sean’s legal career took off in 2022 when he started working as a paralegal alongside his studies with a regional Criminal Defence firm in North Wales. In January 2023, he joined our team, marking the start of his journey towards becoming a qualified solicitor.

Since 2022, Sean has been accredited to represent clients at the police station during the investigation stage. This role has allowed him to gain valuable experience and develop a rigorous approach to defending our clients, dealing with a broad spectrum of offences.

In addition to his regular attendance at the police station, Sean plays a key role in our team. He supports our solicitors in case preparation, which includes instructing experts, gathering information from clients, and providing court assistance. His work spans both the Magistrates and Crown Courts, providing him with practical experience and preparing him for his own qualification and court advocacy. His consistent presence in court and his diligence in preparing cases for trial and sentencing hearings have given him a comprehensive understanding of the legal process.

Sean recently completed his Prison Law seat, where he successfully advocated for clients in Parole Board procedures and Oral Hearings. His efforts have led to securing directions for release for a number of clients.
