Kelly Thomas acts in acquittal of SAC Evans

February 24, 2014

Kelly Thomas, Head Tuckers’ London Military Law department has just secured the acquittal of Senior Aircraftsman Damien Evans.  Initially accused of violent disorder with 5 co-defendants, the charge was later reduced to that of “fighting”. A number of the co-Defendants decided to enter a plea of guilty to the lesser charge, but our client was determined to clear his name.  This became a possibility after the Tuckers defence team managed to trace three defence witnesses based in Cyprus.

The case was set down for trial  at the Cyprus Court Martial Centre.  Tuckers’ advocate Demetrios Savvides attended to represent SAC Evans who was delighted when the not guilty verdict was returned.

Kelly said “we are pleased that the hard work that went into this case has resulted in the correct verdict and that SAC Evans’ can continue his career with his unblemished army record in tact.”
