Acquittal in “Europe’s Biggest Drug Trial”

January 2, 2013

A Tuckers client was one of only two defendants (out of 21 tried) to be acquitted in what has been described as Europe’s biggest drug trial.  RH was represented by Seamus Austin and was the Company Secretary of a company used as front by an organised crime network to import vast amounts of hydroponic equipment which it then distributed through other front companies which controlled cannabis farms throughout the UK growing skunk on what was described as a truly industrial scale.  After an 8 week trial at the Old Bailey during which the Crown continually shifted the grounds upon which it sought conviction he was acquitted in December.
