Tuckers Road Traffic Department success
The Tuckers’ Road Traffic Deparment is having increasing success in defending cases where there is a technical defence to the proceedings. Recently Asim Ali, of Tuckers’ Manchester office, successfully defended a case for a client who was before the court for drink driving and being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle. The client had admitted to officers at the scene that she was “sorry and should not have driven”. Despite the admission to the police the drink driving charge was dismissed, as the Crown failed to advance any evidence of the client actually driving the vehicle. Notwithstanding attempts by the Crown to persuade the Court to maintain the charge, it was kicked out to the delight of the client.
